Morlie Patel is a board member of the Asian American Action Fund of Greater Chicago. She serves as a Deputy Director for Cook County Sheriff Tom Dart’s office. In her current capacity, Morlie has managed a department-wide Performance Management Initiative and has also founded two community outreach initiatives addressing hate crimes, in addition to working on both the office’s human trafficking initiative and reentry programming. Prior to joining the Sheriff’s Office, Morlie received her Master’s in Accounting from the University of Michigan’s Ross School of Business and worked for 7 years at Deloitte and PwC. Morlie serves on the board of the New Leaders Council, an organization that trains and empowers young professionals in the political sphere.
